When to pick Nu México

Nu wins on a client who does NOT habitually use Rappi. APR 13 points lower, more polished app, no need to keep balance in another account. For monthly spend spread across merchants and services, Nu is clearly more efficient.

When to pick RappiCard (Banorte)

RappiCard wins if you use Rappi 2-3 times a week (food delivery, errands, RappiTravel). 5% cashback at Rappi on 8,000 pesos monthly returns around 400 pesos each month — beats the 13 extra APR points if you pay in full. For non-Rappi users, doesn't pay off.

My recommendation

Active Rappi user (2+ times weekly): RappiCard without doubt. General client without intense Rappi use: Nu for low APR.

How we compare these two

The figures in the table — CAT, amount, term — come from each institution’s public rate sheet, not from us, and the commercial relationship never changes them. The «cheaper» verdict weighs the total cost for a standard profile; your own CAT depends on your Buró and income, so treat the numbers as a starting point and confirm the final terms on the lender’s site before signing. The order of offers across the site follows our published methodology.
