Kueski in a snapshot: the oldest in Mexico's express segment

Kueski has operated in Mexico since 2012 from Guadalajara. It's one of the first digital SOFOMs to launch online express loans without office visits. Corporate name is Kueski, S.A.P.I. de C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R., and that appears as-is in CONDUSEF's SIPRES registry.

The main product is loans from 500 to 25,000 pesos on short terms, with automatic approval in 10-30 minutes and same-day SPEI deposit. The brand is recognizable because it has run mass advertising longer than any other competitor in the segment — TV, radio and digital campaigns nonstop since 2017.

The APR you see vs the APR you pay

Kueski publishes an APR range typically starting «from 250%». What you end up signing depends on three variables: amount, term and your internal profile in their scoring.

TicketTermEffective APRPeso cost on 5,000
500-2,5007-15 days280-320%320-460 pesos
2,500-8,00014-30 days240-290%500-820 pesos
8,000-25,00030-180 days180-260%1,600-3,400 pesos

Numbers are approximate and depend on the scoring assigned to your profile. The contract screen always shows total peso cost before accepting; by law you have the right to see it and not sign.

How your line builds with Kueski

Kueski uses a tiered-limit model. First loan typically lands between 500 and 2,500 pesos. Each on-time loan raises the next tier:

Same pattern as Credilikeme and MoneyMan, though Kueski tends to be more conservative when raising the ticket. It's an internal SOFOM decision and not publicly explained — depends on its scoring.

Is Kueski reliable? What SIPRES and CONDUSEF say

Yes, Kueski is legitimate. Registered in SIPRES since 2012, pays its annual fee to the regulator and recognizes CONDUSEF jurisdiction for complaints. As SOFOM E.N.R., it's not regulated by CNBV — that acronym, «Non-Regulated Entity», confuses but doesn't imply illegality. Almost every fast-loan SOFOM in Mexico is E.N.R.

In CONDUSEF's public complaints search, Kueski has medium-high volume, proportional to its size and segment profile. Most frequent patterns:

  1. Bureau report after settling — negative report doesn't clear automatically. If settled, request no-debt constancia and deliver to bureau to update. Takes 15-30 days.
  2. Calls outside hours — Mexican law allows collection 8:00-21:00. Outside that range is reportable violation to CONDUSEF.
  3. Rejected-charge commissions — some products include SPEI or auto-debit rejection fees. Read it in the contract before signing.

Kueski vs MoneyMan vs Credilikeme

The three play in the express-loan segment. Honest comparison based on real use:

If your priority is absolute speed and very small tickets, Kueski wins. For medium tickets without extreme urgency, Credilikeme usually lands at lower APR. MoneyMan works well in long history building if you're already recurring.

For which profile yes, for which not

It does enter the decision:

It's not your profile if:

What almost nobody checks at signing with Kueski

The auto-debit clause. By default, the contract authorizes automatic charge to your CLABE on cutoff. If your account at BBVA or Banorte is tight on balance that day, the rejection counts as non-payment as if you decided not to pay.

To pay manually, disable auto-debit when signing the first contract — done via email to support and the removal stays active for future loans. If you're already in one with active auto-debit, the removal applies to the next, not the current.

How to cancel a recently signed loan

Under federal consumer protection law, you have 5 business days to rescind a loan contract without penalty as long as you haven't disposed of the money. If you already received the deposit in your CLABE, the cancellation gets complicated — you have to return the full amount plus SPEI commission within the next 24 hours for it to apply.

The procedure: formal email to Kueski support requesting the contract cancellation in writing, with the contract number and refund CLABE. The email acknowledgment is your evidence.

Kreditano verdict

Kreditano verdict: Legitimate. SOFOM E.N.R. registered in SIPRES since 2012, one of the oldest brands in Mexican express lending. The high APR is standard for the instant micro-credit segment. Useful for occasional emergencies; for planned spending, BBVA Personal or Banorte are cheaper if you qualify.

Who it's for and who it isn't

✓ Good fit

Use Kueski if you need a small or mid-sized amount in hours, don't want to visit a branch and accept a higher APR than a bank for speed.

ℹ️ Not your fit if

Skip it if your payroll is formal, your Buró is clean and you have a week of margin — the bank offer almost always lands cheaper. Also skip it if you're already at the limit with another SOFOM, because cascading debt becomes unpayable.

Requirements to apply

How to apply step by step

  1. You fill the online form: amount, term and basic personal data.
  2. The institution pulls your Buró (hard pull only if you accept the offer).
  3. You get the answer — approved, conditional or declined — in minutes for a SOFOM, or one to three business days for a bank.
  4. If you accept, you sign the digital contract and provide your bank details.
  5. The deposit lands on the CLABE you provided (same day for digital SOFOMs, one to three days for a bank).

Frequently asked questions

Does Kueski check the Buró de Crédito?

Yes. Every regulated institution in Mexico checks Buró before approving. The difference is what they do with the information: Kueski works with clean profiles or minor delinquencies, as long as you can show current repayment capacity.

How long does Kueski take to disburse?

For online loans, the deposit usually lands the same business day if you complete the request before the cut-off (typically 2pm CT). For traditional bank loans, one to three business days to the CLABE you register.

Can I prepay without a penalty?

Yes, it's your right under Mexican law. Kueski applies prepayments to principal, which reduces future interest. Check the contract for any early-cancellation fee before signing.

Is Kueski registered and reliable?

Kueski is legitimate. Registered as SOFOM E.N.R. in CONDUSEF's SIPRES since 2012 with headquarters in Guadalajara. The high APR (250-320%) is typical of the instant micro-credit segment, places it within the regulated micro-credit segment. It's expensive, but operates within Mexican legal framework.

How much does Kueski lend the first time?

Almost always between 500 and 2,500 pesos in the first loan. The published cap of 25,000 pesos is reached only after several on-time loans paid over months. The first loan serves so the system gradually builds your limit.

How long does Kueski take to deposit money?

Typically 10 to 30 minutes if you apply before cutoff (14:00 Central). Deposit arrives by SPEI to your registered CLABE. Accounts at BBVA, Banorte or Santander usually reflect faster than new fintech accounts.

Does Kueski report to Buró?

Yes. Reports on-time payments as positive and defaults as negative. For thin-bureau profiles, paying on time with Kueski does help build history. For bureau-compromised profiles, a default hits as hard as a bank default.

Can I prepay Kueski without penalty?

Yes, it's your right under federal law. Kueski applies the prepayment to principal, reducing future interest. If you do, request formal closure by email so the system updates your history; some users report administrative closure takes a few days to reflect.

Why did Kueski reject me with a clean bureau?

Usually due to internal scoring. Even if your bureau looks good, Kueski reviews recent banking activity, CLABE tenure and geolocation at application. Very new accounts, irregular income or IP different from the registered address trigger automatic rejection even if you meet formal requirements.

How to verify on your own
