Mexico's best-known credit bureau. It tracks how you pay banks, carriers, stores and utilities. Not a blacklist: it logs the good and the bad. A loan paid on time for three years lifts your score more than two small loans opened last week.

The Buró isn't a blacklist: it's your history, good and bad. It records every credit, whether you pay on time, how much you owe and how often you apply. A delinquency over 90 days weighs heavily, but it can be rebuilt; the record of a settled debt stays but stops bleeding your score over time.

You're entitled to a free Special Credit Report once a year at burodecredito.com.mx. Check it: identity errors, accounts you already closed but still show open, and misreported delinquencies are more common than you'd think. Disputing them in writing takes 4 to 6 weeks and they do get corrected. A clean Buró lowers your CAT on any product.
