DiDi Préstamos vs Kueski: which fast loan costs less?
| DiDi Préstamos | Kueski | |
|---|---|---|
| CAT (Costo Anual Total — Mexico's all-in annual cost figure) | 150% | 280% |
| Amount | $1k–$25k | $1k–$10k |
| Term | 1–12 months | 1–3 months |
| What sets it apart | Much lower CAT (150%) because it targets active DiDi drivers and riders | Faster approval, open to people who don't use DiDi |
When to pick DiDi Préstamos
DiDi Préstamos charges a 150% CAT — half of what Kueski charges. The catch: you need an active history as a driver or frequent rider. On a 15,000-peso loan over 6 months, the savings against Kueski (which doesn't even lend over that term) come to 4,000–6,000 pesos.
When to pick Kueski
Kueski works as the quick-cash drawer for anyone without a DiDi history or who needs the money in the next hour. The 280% price only makes sense for emergencies under 8,000 pesos paid back within 30 days.
My recommendation
If you use DiDi, apply with them first. If not, check payroll loans from your bank before anything else — a fast loan at 280% should never be plan A.
