When to pick BBVA México
If you do everything from your phone and don't mind signing digitally, BBVA is two points cheaper and lends you twice as much. On a 200,000-peso loan over 48 months, the difference comes out to about 18,000 pesos in BBVA's favor.
When to pick Citibanamex
Citibanamex still wins when you need to walk into a branch to sort things out in person, or when you handle large cash operations. It also tends to be more flexible with older customers or anyone without a digital track record.
My recommendation
For most banked profiles, BBVA. Citibanamex makes sense if you value the physical branch more than the rate difference.
